A former furniture store in Spring Hill, Ventnor, is the headquarters of the Ventnor Historical Society and their Heritage Museum. Among the many exhibits are relics of WW2 and the railway age on which the holiday resort of Ventnor was founded in Victorian times. The railway has gone but there is at least a working model of the terminus. These artefacts, together with the large archive of local material, are in the care of Graham Bennet, Curator, and Fay Hewitt Brown, Archivist, who provides a weekly history column in the local paper. The Museum is normally open May to October. Special visits can be arranged.
